Import Center
The Import Center is where you bring data into RentAxis by uploading a file (CSV/spreadsheet).
What you can import
The Import Center supports these record types (each from a file upload):
- Properties
- Units
- Properties + Units (combined)
- Tenants
- Leases
- Lease Types
- Programs
- Vendors / Contractors
- Invoices
- Expenses
- Users / Staff
Each type you see depends on your permissions.
Run an import
- Go to Import Center.
- Choose the record type and download its template if you need the column layout.
- Upload your file and map the columns to RentAxis fields.
- Preview the rows, then execute the import.
- Check the run summary and any per-row errors (review past runs under Runs).
Important
Imports respect your plan's limits — for example, importing Properties/Units is capped by your plan's unit/property allowance, and rows beyond the cap are skipped and reported.
To pull data from QuickBooks (customers, products, invoices, and bank transactions for reconciliation), use the QuickBooks integration instead — see Sync QuickBooks → RentAxis.
