Leasing & Tenants

Leasing Overview

The Leasing Overview is a single-screen dashboard that rolls up the key numbers across your leasing operation: portfolio occupancy, lease health, rent collection, payments, expenses, programs and reminders. You'll find it at /admin/leasing/overview (it's labeled Leasing Overview and gated by the view-admin-dashboard permission).

What's on the dashboard

Portfolio

  • Property and unit counts, Section 8 property count, and the breakdown of occupied / vacant / maintenance units with an occupancy rate.

Leases

  • Active leases, Section 8 active count, ending in 30 days, ending in 60 days, and expired-but-still-active counts.
  • Total and average contract rent across active leases.

Tenants

  • Tenant counts by status: active, inactive, eviction, and total.

Rent collection

  • Invoiced and collected this month and year-to-date, total outstanding, overdue count and amount, and the collection rate for the month and YTD.

Payments

  • Completed payment count and amount this month vs last month, pending payments, and failed payments in the last 30 days.

Expenses

  • This month vs last month spend, total unpaid expenses, and a breakdown by category.

Reminders

  • Payment reminder activity over the last 30 days: sent, opened, failed and pending.

Programs & lease types

  • Top programs (PHA) by active lease count, and lease types with their active-lease counts.

Charts and activity

The overview also includes trend charts and lists:

  • Rent collection trend — invoiced vs collected over the last 6 months.
  • Cash-flow trend — income (completed payments) vs expenses over the last 6 months, with net.
  • Lease status breakdown — a donut of Active / Ending in 60 days / Expired / Inactive.
  • Top properties — by collected rent year-to-date.
  • Upcoming lease expirations — active leases ending in the next 60 days, soonest first.
  • Recent payments — the latest completed payments.

Tip

Use Upcoming lease expirations to drive your renewal pipeline, and Overdue under rent collection to decide when to send payment reminders.

Note

Which widgets appear can be tailored per organization via the dashboard settings. Sections you don't have permission to see render an empty state rather than exposing data.
