Reporting

Report Basics

This guide covers the mechanics that apply across reports.

Running a report

Open Reports, pick a report, set the filters (date range, property, etc.), and Run. Most reports are grouped (groups → rows → subtotals).

Access by category

Reports are permissioned by category — Financial, Rental, Property, Transaction and Late Fees — not by a single blanket permission. A user only sees the report categories their role grants.

Note

If a teammate can't see a report they expect, check their role's report category permissions under Users & Roles.

Pagination

Grouped reports paginate on screen while preserving their subtotals, so large reports stay readable. Bounded financial statements (like the Balance Sheet) are shown in full rather than paginated.

Export & PDF

Most reports export to PDF, Excel and CSV. Multi-page PDFs show correct page counts. The Transaction Report opens a clean print view rather than a file download.

Date range & accounting method

Period reports (like the Profit & Loss) take a from/to date range with presets; the Balance Sheet takes a single as-of date. Financial statements also let you switch between accrual and cash accounting, and add side-by-side comparison columns (previous year, previous period, etc.).

Sharing

Some reports can be shared via a secure, token-based link that recipients can view without logging in.

Ask AI about a report

Open a report and use Ask AI about this report to get a plain-English summary that reuses the exact numbers on screen.
